Hi Everyone,
I am so sorry again for the lack of an email in July, time just got away from me! There are so many exciting things going on in the colouring world and I have lots of personal projects too so things are busy! The first main thing is that while he is job hunting, my son is working as my YouTube channel manager, I thought this would save me time, but I am actually busier now than I was before!
The thing that I am probably most excited about is the fact the new 20 additional colours for the Faber-castell polychromos seem to be with UK suppliers. This means that by the time you get this email, I might have my hands on them!! If you are in the UK and want to order or pre order you can order from Amazon, but they are significantly cheaper from Cult Pens and The Colour Pencil Shop. I am sure there are many other places to get them from too. Unfortunately, those of you from USA will have to wait longer as the latest I heard was that they would be available ‘late fall’. As soon as I see or hear anything I will share details on my Facebook and Instagram pages.
I took some time in July to colour some pictures in the style of other artists to learn some new techniques. Above you can see three of my attempts. The first two are loosely based on the beautiful work of CatandPaste and the third was from a colour along by Gabi Wolf. Hopefully by taking time to do this I can learn some new things to pass on to you!
I am also very close to finishing Inklings! I am very excited to show you a completed book flip through and once I have done that, I will record a video of all of my completed Johanna Basford books as I will have completed all 15! I still have one video series left from the book which is the house page above, I hope that you enjoy it when it comes out!
I have some more fun video series coming for you as well. There are some teasers above, but you will have to keep checking my YouTube to see when they are coming out!!
