Most people will know that Johanna Basford has a new book out and I thought that I would share my thoughts on it. The book is the same square format as Johanna’s other books and the UK paper is the same, although US paper has changed and is the same paper that Kerby Rosanes uses, which some people have not found to their liking. The pictures are mainly indoor room scenes with a few wallpaper pages and circle designs. I made a flip through video when I first got my copy so you can take a look if you wish to see all of the pages.
There are quite a few more detailed pages in the book, that will delight some people, but others may find daunting. There are also less leaves and flowers and more objects, which again may please some people and not others! It is a fun mix of different items, in my opinion and I relish the chance to learn to colour new items that I may not have coloured before.
I have put together a number of colouring tutorials from the book. They are all series. The first was the Wizards Room and the first video is below.
I also made a short video testing some pencils with the mushroom picture on the colour palette test page –
I then made a series from the Wizards objects which was such a fun page. The first video is below:
I have plans for other videos from the book, so please subscribe to my YouTube channel if you wish to get notifications of when those are ready. Below you can see some other pictures that I have completed so far from the book:

I have now completed the book and has made a completed book flip through which you can watch below.
There is also a set of postcards to accompany the book and I reviewed them in a video too –
