Staedtler Ergosoft Pencil Review

The Staedtler Ergosoft pencils are a budget brand and they come in sets of 12, 24 and 36 and you can get them open stock (singles) but only for the ones included in the 12 and 24 sets at the moment. The new ones from the 36 set are not yet available.

The pencils are fairly hard, which means that when you sharpen them they will keep tehir point well and are therefore really useful for using for small designs. I find them great for Johanna Basford’s miniature books.

The pencils blend well, so even though there are not lots of colours you can mix them together and get additional ones. They are also good for shading. If you are used to really soft pencils, then they may take a bit of getting used to. I use them alongside my other brands particularly when I have a small space to colour and find them very handy. They are also portable as there are not many of them.
