Hi Everyone
I hope you have been keeping well and happy. I have had a lovely fortnight for various reasons! Non-colouring wise my boys did really well in their GCSE exams, securing a place at college to do A-levels which was fantastic. But there were also colouring excitements too!!
I was sent copies of two books by Dominia Stoppa to review and use. They are pretty books and I have done a review on YouTube as well as one tutorial and am planning to do more. I have not coloured many pictures that are not by Johanna Basford so it is out of my comfort zone and I enjoyed the challenge. I may try out a few different illustrators soon, but I will still be a loyal fan to Johanna!
I was also gifted a set of Castle Arts pencils from my Amazon Wishlist. Such a kind and generous gift and the pencils are so lovely. I have done a review and plan on using them for more tutorials soon.
I bought myself a set of Bambino Jumbo crayons (which are really pencils!) to play with and did a review of those too.
I ordered a copy of The Worlds of Wonder postcard book (in German as there is not an English copy) and did a flip through and mini-review of that. I cannot wait to get colouring them and plan on doing some videos soon using them. If you want to buy them, they are on UK Amazon.
My plans for the next few weeks include releasing the daily Johanna Basford tutorial as normal, most of which will be the end of the fruit and veg page from Worlds of Wonder. There are a few videos from World of Flowers as well to show you and my normal Monday Planner pages. I am also hoping to do quite a few extra videos for you as well. I may not get time, so cannot promise but am hoping to complete the TEDx sheet of pictures, possibly do some from a Rita Berman free download and perhaps some from World of Flowers. I also have plans for some new blog articles. I may be being rather ambitious though!
I sometimes like to share a video from the archives with you. This one might be good fun for you. It is a plant in a pot from Miniature Secret Garden and was popular when I released it but you may have missed it so I hope you like it!
I hope that you all have a great fortnight and manage to get lots of colouring done. I do love looking at pictures everyone shares on Instagram and Facebook, it is so inspiring!
Thank you so much for your support, it means so much.
Happy colouring,
Rachel x
