Hi Everyone,
This email is a bit of a celebration! I have now got over 3000 subscribers on my YouTube channel. Thank you so much to all of you that have subscribed and everyone that is so supportive and that tunes in to my videos. It means so much!
I have had lots of additional excitement this week! I received my copy of Meine Rese Durch Europa by Rita Berman. It is a lovely book and I will be making some tutorials from it soon. You may have spotted the videos that I have been doing from her free download page. I loved them so much I got the book! I have done a flip through and review here.
I also was sent some lovely gifts from two of my wonderful followers. The first was a Castle Art Seascape pencil set. So very generous, thank you and I am looking forward to having lots of fun using them. I have already reviewed them here.
The second gift was two colouring books, of which I am also extremely grateful and very excited to start. I am looking forward to making videos for you using them both, as soon as I can.
If you are a huge Johanna Basford fan like I am, do not worry, I have not abandoned her books! I have been releasing videos of her fruit and veg page from Worlds of Wonder and there will be more to come. At the moment my plans are to still release a Johanna Basford video daily and then add in bonus videos from other illustrators too. I am still colouring her pages such as the one below from Ivy and the Inky Butterfly.
If you like the galaxy sky in the mushroom picture above, I did so a tutorial for a similar background (below), which you can check out here!
My children are starting college today, so I will have to see how I can fit making videos around their new timetables. It should be easier than in the holidays so I am hoping it will be easy to keep producing content for you. I am also getting a new camera as I think my old one needs to retire. Hopefully, the videos will be improved!
A quick reminder that I do update content on my blog regularly as well. I normally try to add a couple of articles a week which you might be interested in looking at, including tutorials like this butterfly.
Hope you all have a fantastic fortnight and thanks again for all of your support.
Happy colouring,
Rachel x
